A wholesale hat order can have one total quantity but several size, color, and decoration combinations. This guide helps buyers prepare a clear assortment plan so the factory can review the selected style and specification accurately.
Define the size system first
State whether the order uses adjustable, fitted, stretch, or mixed sizing. Provide the measurement unit and the size labels that must appear on the order documents. Do not combine US, Australian, and internal size labels without a conversion note.
Build a quantity table
List each size against its quantity, color, decoration, and packaging group. Check that the line items add up to the total order quantity. If the buyer wants a balanced assortment, explain the rule rather than leaving the factory to infer it.
Consider the wearer and use case
Record whether the hats are for a promotional campaign, team program, retail assortment, or brand launch. The use case may affect the preferred size mix, adjustment details, labeling, and packaging review.
Confirm fit through the sample process
Identify which measurements and fit points the buyer will review, and keep the approved size chart or marked sample with the order record. Any change to crown, brim, closure, or measurement should be recorded as a new revision before production.
Include the assortment in the RFQ
Send the style, size table, colors, artwork, packaging, destination, and target timing together. Projects can start from MOQ 50 when the selected style and specification are suitable; actual MOQ must be confirmed for the complete assortment.
